Welcome to the Masked Singer reviews! Here's where I review every single costume design created for the singing contest/guessing game show that is taking the world by storm. I got inspired by Bogleech's reviews on Pokémon, Digimon and other fictional monsters and I believed there oughta be something similar for these amazing and creative costumes.
Now, while we're here, there are a few guidelines, both for myself and for you:

These reviews are unapologetically subjective. I will cheer for my favourites and boo at my not-so-favourites. You are more than free to disagree and make your own opinions, but these are mine.

For the sake of focusing on the costumes themselves and my own sanity, we will not judge masks based on the celebrities under them. Instead, we'll mostly focus on the costume work of the mask, and if I am able to watch their performances, their singing voice and stage work. Bonus points might be given or taken depending of context and personality, at my own discretion.
With this said, sometimes it will be impossible to avoid controversy, for it will be ingrained in the costume itself. I don't believe in skipping over these because then I would be just telling you a pretty lie, but I understand some people would rather not deal with ugly truths when they just want to read someone ramble about funny singing costumes. If there are any insensitive costumes, these will be marked with a near the link to their review. If I skipped over anything, because sometimes I am not aware of certain issues, feel free to contact me so I can fix it.
With this said, while I will start covering Western, English-speaking countries shows first, I aim to eventually review every mask in the world. I might not know the context behind each and every mask, especially those deeply rooted in a country's own culture. I'm more than happy to use a funny costume singing show as an excuse to learn new things, so again, if you'd like to pitch in your two cultural cents you're more than welcome to contact me.
